The NZXT H700i upsides

The NZXT H700i is brilliantly designed and well-executed , but it brought down by its attempt to expand the case’s purpose. The consensus we found in the reviews we have looked at, was that the case is trying to be way more than it actually is. The fact is that this case, will almost assuredly not know better how to configure a GPU fan curve than the stock VBIOS and it’s probable that the user could more quickly configure a system-wide fan curve than the smart device.

NZXT is famous for being uncompromising on their cases' overall design, while making sure that it still has working functional features. In fact, The NZXT H700i bests the H500i in that department ever so slightly.

The NZXT H700i has style, it is aggressive, and it has bling

There is no way we are getting around the fact that the NZXT H700i chassis is attractive. We also love that it is compact, yet has room for an EATX motherboard, and the internal features are designed in such a way that things can be adjusted depending on the parts needed to fit inside. Airflow is handled well from the factory.
Some of the reviews were not big fans of the screwed on tempered glass panels, but they did still applaud NZXT for keeping the glass clear. Being able to see what is in the chassis is the whole reason windowed panels started in the first place, and is something that many companies hide with dark tint levels.

Every component, every feature, have all been well thought out and implemented in ways which places the NZXT H700i ahead of many other mid-tower offerings.

It is rare that we find a product where the reviews we have looked at, haven't found something glaringly obvious with the case, or found something clearly has done wrong, or could have been done differently, but on the NZXT H700i, everything simply works. One of the few things that the some reviews would have seen done a little differently is having to see the thumbscrews attaching the glass panel, beside that we couldn't find anything else they would have changed. The NZXT H700i mid-tower chassis is just that good.

All in all, NZXT H700i is one of the most beautiful cases ever designed, which ticks all those features you would expect from a $200 case. Not only the aesthetics, but the case also excels greatly at cooling performance as well, making it similar to some of the best mesh-front cases.

The NZXT H700i downsides

Lets just start the negativity off by saying that we cannot say enough good things about the NZXT H700i, and its overall build quality and the attention to detail within the case; unfortunately, the reviews in this comparison also can’t say enough bad things about the smart device, which plays the role of foil to the case.

And to add to that, there is another glaring issue to the NZXT H700i case. While we can appreciate why it is what it is, and there is no doubt that the feature set and what you can accomplish with the H700i, is worth more than $100, pricing it just under $200 is a stretch for many. If style is what you are after, and you like what you see, by all means, go right ahead and buy the NZXT H700i.

It is hard to be disappointed by the NZXT H700i.

For those of you out there who appreciate what is offered, but tend to be a little stingier with your funds, maybe a sale will hit soon, and you can get it for a steal. For now, though, you will have to pay big if you plan to house your next build inside of the NZXT H700i Mid-Tower Chassis.

FAQ

Is Nzxt H700i good?

Despite a few minor flaws, NZXT's latest addition to the H line of chassis is well worth considering if you're looking for a new mid-tower case. It offers excellent cooling capabilities, RGB lights, and a tempered-glass side panel. The H700i is also attractive.

Does the NZXT H700i come with fans?

The H700i eliminates the need for a radiator and adds a wire management system under the motherboard tray. Behind the tempered glass screen, four fans and two RGB LED strips are incorporated to make constructions seem spectacular.

How big is the NZXT H700i?

The H700i is a mid-tower, but it's bigger than most, measuring 516mm (H) x 230mm (W) x 494mm (D). The feet may be removed to make it significantly shorter, but only by 22mm. To keep the case off the ground, we recommend leaving them on.

How many fans does the H700i come with?

A fan controller/LED RGB lighting controller with three 10W fan channels and compatibility for up to four LED lighting strips or five RGB fans is also included with the NZXT H700i. One 12" RGB lighting strip is pre-installed on the H700i, and an extra 12" LED RGB lighting strip is included in the accessory package.
